Conceptualized as a companion EP to Break a Tooth, My City is… Cherry Flavored was written and recorded directly following its release. Starting where they left off Little Lizard has taken care not to lose their original sound but to expanded upon it by exploring new musical ideas, influences, and writing styles. The three tracks on My City is.. Cherry Flavored cut you loose on a Friday night in a happening city filled with groovy basslines, brassy trombones, screaming synthesizers, and dense driving beats. Aside from the recording techniques used the most notable difference on My City is.. Cherry Flavored is the increase in the number of voices. From the chord driven “Is..” to the looping trombone on “My City” Little Lizard is pushing the sonic limits of the musical duo. Paying homage to the city that spawned them Little Lizard asks: “What Flavor Is Your City?”
